a limited number of domestic participants can attend the conference ONSITE, while other participants will attend the conference ONLINE.

The International Symposium on Biomathematics (Symomath) 2022 is a hybrid-conference event jointly organized by Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and the Indonesian Biomathematics Society (IBMS). The objectives of the symposium are to provide a multidisciplinary forum for promoting and fostering interactions between mathematical, biological, and related industrial communities in studying various phenomena in biology, ecology, infectious diseases, health, etc.

Symomath is an annual scientific program—held by some universities partner in Indonesia that provides main session (keynote speakers) and parallel sessions (invited speakers and participants). The first Symomath was held at Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2013, and in 2022, Institut Teknologi Bandung will have another chance to hold the 9th Symomath.

Call for Paper

Academicians, researchers, and graduate students are invited to participate in the conference, especially those with current work aligned, but not limited, to the following fields:

  • Population Dynamics
  • Infectious Diseases
  • Bioinformatics and Systems Biology
  • Bio-Engineering and Synthetic Biology
  • Bio-Statistics
  • Renewable Resources in Fishery and Forestry industries
  • Bio-Mathematics with Economic and Conservation Issues

Participants need to submit their abstract indicating the research results (max. 2 abstracts per author). Only the selected abstract will be presented in the symposium which passes the internal review process. The selected papers (which are subject to a full review process) will be considered for publications in:
